Five minute Foam Cutter

I had some nichrome wire laying around, which I finally put to some good use. Its super simple to make, just some scrap wood and some nails. Hammered the stuff together and ran the NiCr wire and connected to a current controller. I recently bought a new soldering station, I using the old one as the controller, I’d rather build one using a MOSFET and 555 but this works as of now. I laser cut the template and used it for foam cutting. I have no immediate use for it, just felt like making it. When I get in my zone I don’t stop to click pictures, so here the final one after it was built.

Caution: While cutting the Styrofoam it releases nasty fumes, be sure to wear a mask and use it in a well ventilated area.
